Safe Speed Copy
How fast do you drive in a busy built-up area verses on a quiet open road?
- A safe speed is one where you can safely stop your boat in the space available between you and the nearest navigational hazard*.
- Your boat must always be going at a safe speed. (Rule 6).
- Remember the phrase “slow is pro”.
*Remember your boat does not have brakes. If you slam the engine into reverse at high speed in an effort to stop – you will literally blow up the engine!
